Got this one here today for my parents-in-law. It took about 30 days to get it, back ordered through Ascent.

My parents-in-law use Google Apps. Setup was a breeze - although Google Chrome didn't like their account didn't have sync enabled, but once I added this to the account the tablet stopped complaining.

The keyboard is handy, as it comes with an extra battery. Very responsive and with 3G/HSAP+.

So impressed with this that it made me wonder if I could replace my current Windows + Office 365 account with one of these. A little bit of local storage, 3G for access stuff in the cloud and off we go.

Really, really cool tablet.

Nice. How much storage do they have onboard?

I like the idea of say 64GB on board. At least then you can have a decent local cache of emails and files through Google Drive. It's also useful when travelling if you want to take video to watch say on a plane where there is (usually) no network. I assume they have an SD card reader, tho?

I had one of these too, it's really nice, build quality is excellent, software is good too, but I upgraded to the tf700t just for the improved screen and resolution.

Nice one; I've been using a TF101 since it was released and it's still going strong. Kids and wife use it too so quite impressive that there's no issues with it! :) ASUS IMO are the kings of the tablet + keyboard combo.

It looks a nice unit! I have had many Asus notebook over the years and they have all been trouble free, so it a good chance my next machine will be an Asus also.

Bought a TF700T 64GB with keyboard dock last week. Much better than the old Acer Iconia. Bond&Bond have the kit online for $1149. Pricey but nicey :-)

A mobile data option on a tablet does not concern me.
I like to only pay for one sim card, so I would much prefer to tether to my mobile phone, when I'm away from a WIFI connection.

We got one exactly like that from Noel Leeming - superb unit! It replaced my partner's aging MBP (late 2007 model) and she's very happy with it. In fact, she can't imagine life without a note/netbook that has touchscreen.

Android user, software developer, a semi-typical (not a gamer) geek, and a Bernese Mountain Dog nut!

I too have the TF101 (owned for approx 18 months). It WAS a great tablet, and innovative with the keyboard dock doubling the battery life and ports. However, in my case, ASUS wrecked my experience with their botched upgrade from Honeycomb to ICS. Producing a tablet that was no longer stable, even after multiple patches. In the end I gave up on ASUS and loaded a custom Jellybean ROM. The 101 still isn't completely stable but at least it runs 720p video smoothly again. And ASUS have pulled the plug on any official JB release. I used to like ASUS gear, but I am also having problems with a new modem/router from them, so am fast going off their brand.

I know the TF300 has a Tegra 3 processor and that probably makes the world of difference. And I think it has already been upgraded to Jellybean.

As for storage, my TF101 has 32GB onboard with 32 added by way of a microSD and another 32 on a low profile USB stick in the dock. That seems to be adequate for now.
