Just wanting to see if there is anyone else in NZ that is currently running Cherokee Webserver?

I currently have an OpenHost VPS running Cherokee web server 1.2.98 on Ubuntu.

Would like to connect with anyone esle out there to learn more. I am finding the Rule Management to be a real steep learning curve and there is limited docs out there. Spent about 10 hours the other day configuring the server to run Joomla 1.7 and WordPress 3.2 side by side. Managed it in the end, but would rather have picked someone's brains that knew more than I did!

BTW: What a web server! There is no way I am going back to Apache or even thinking about it. I love the speed and the lightness of it. It really is a piece of beauty. Just the pain of taming the beast!

Comments, suggestions and questions welcomed.

I expect by the time you add mysql and php to your webserver mix (as needed by Wordpress) then the lovely speed benefit you get flies out the window.

Sure, if you're using it to serve static content and then forwarding requests through to a dynamic backend it might be fantastic.

Otherwise, your bottleneck sure as hell isn't the webserver.

Audiophiles are such twits! They buy such pointless stuff: Gold plated cables, $2000 power cords. Idiots.

OOOHHHH HYPERFIBRE!
