tmadden: Mozilla now do it in Firefox too apparently but it's their own version of it.
gzt: That does seem like an old board.. Did you tick the third party box during the install?
gzt: Ok, I was going to suggest a reinstall of ubuntu without the mx but if the machine has issues that might be a waste of time.
farcus:Yep I think you're right, I'll take that back. I must have misinterpreted something I read. Seems they're going to keep using Flash as long as it's being given updates. I wonder what gnash is like these days..tmadden: Mozilla now do it in Firefox too apparently but it's their own version of it.
can you elaborate on that. It's the first I have heard of this as Mozilla have been consistently adamant that they will not support the pepper plugin required for newer version of flash to work in linux.
tmadden: It's not an old VIA motherboard is it? I used to have one of those and I had no end of trouble installing both XP and any form of Linux. In fact the only way around it was Fedora 13 worked or I had to turn off L2 cache to install XP, which as you could imagine, took forever.
I'll look up the Mozilla thing, I read about it somewhere.
tmadden: Medibuntu is a repository of restricted software. Add their repository and then install libdvdcss2
Oh, never mind.
