Sometimes it a bit jerky and then other times it's fine. But overall much much better than what was happening with the previous OS.
I used the 32 bit non-pae version of BunsenLabs, I could have forced the pae flag on the laptop and used another distro but I'd rather use a distro that supported non-pae out of the box, so to speak.
Firefox uses far less memory than Chrome, I guess this is part of the reason why Youtube works better. RAM use sits under 500MB, with too many tabs open the CPU will go up to 100%, but as long as only 1 or 2 tabs are open, and only one application is in use at a time, all is fine.

For other readers, I tried Manjaro LXQT & Enlightenment too, The live disc versions worked but installation would fail.
