Thunderbird on my computers (like Timmay I notice it's getting slower and slower), K9 on Android.

I have a few different email addresses for various reasons so like the fact these apps can show unified views. Emails that I want to keep get moved, via Thunderbird, to a NAS drive - what I'd really like on my Android is an email client that could do the same (including the ability to read already stored emails) but I'm not gonna hold my breath waiting for one.

Rainloop at home (web based). If I REALLY need a fully deatured mail client, I have Thunderbird sitting somewhere.

I only use Thunderbird for backing up my mail. I was finding it a bit slow and flaky (sending duplicates).

However my email service is through Zoho (love it) and they now have a Windows mail client which is really nice. It is probably dependent on their service though. I use that as my main client and then just occasionally back up my mail using Thunderbird.

Edit: Oh they also have a really nice Android client too.

Love Mutt (but have not used it in ages). Its all web based (Google) for me when it comes to email.

I see that its possible to hack HTML support for Mutt, and that Mutt is kept updated.

I also use Thunderbird at home, because it supports GPG e-mails. On my phone, it's the default Android app (can't read GPG encrypted e-mails though). Work is outlook (using OWA)

Being Mac based I use Apple Mail on desktops at work and home and the stock Gmail app for Android despite not being a Gmail user.

I use Outlook at work and installed thunderbird at home on my windows PC.

Don't really use thunderbird a whole lot now though as I have gmail on my phone/tablet.

With the last upgrade gmail did to the gmail web interface its actually pretty good to use - I gather it even supports an offline/caching mode now as well ("gmail offline" if you are googling it).

I suppose it depends on what email account(s) you are using.

Browser and Native mobile apps where required (eg gmail/Outlook)

on the ms365 side, Outlook all the way, feature set and integration just makes things easy.

Having to use the browser interface is like stabbing my eyes out.... Maybe MS just aren't at the level of usability that google provides though?

After spending some time trying out the offerings on various Distros I have come to the conclusion that Thunderbird offers the best all-round performance and feature set. Using the Web browser for accessing Outlook and Gmail is good but I prefer a dedicated client that just sits there and gathers the mail without too much ado. The worst in my opinion is Kmail.

Here is a crazy notion, lets give peace a chance.
