didn't realise how much $$$ ram can be, seems more expensive than the 4GB (2x2)kits.
I was hoping to max out my iMac 7,1 2.6GHz to 6GB.

does any one know if its cheaper to order from overseas or is the a reasonable place here in NZ.

Check out pricespy.co.nz, they let you search lots of NZ stores for the best price. When I had a quick look it was about $300 for a 4GB DDR2 SODIMM.
