No issues here running a Macbook Pro with 10.5.2 and all updates since clean installation of Leopard. Also running Parallels build 5584 with Windows XP SP 2 Build 2600 (often swapping between WLG and SYD time zones). However not running Bootcamp

Have not had an issue on this or other macs in home (Macbook & Power Mac G5)

Only device with issues was the Nokia 6120 classic which mistakenly changed time last week!

Mauricio... each time I return at CHC airport I feel the "NZDT Christchurch Special Timewarp Zone.... "

chakkaradeep: As few have told in this thread, it is Vista which is creating problems and playing with the Time ( ). I changed my time in Leopard & also chose to automatically set time and booted into Leopard nearly three times and the time is good now. But I havent booted into Windows (Vista) yet, but had made a small registry change. Have to see whether it works. There are few methods suggested from @manhinli's link which I have to try if that doesn't work.

@tonyhughes, is your Macbook good with XP . The strangest part is that I hadn't changed the time in Windows at all and I think because its set to synchronize with Internet Server, this might have caused it. (D'oh)

I have run XP and Vista in bootcamp, and had no issues. I dont use bootcamp now though, I just have VMWare Fusion. I havent even booted that up for ages. iWork is nice enough for casual office stuff, and NeoOffice for more heavy duty stuff (only because I dont know Pages/Numbers in iWork that well yet).

I have found Mac equivalents for everything I do now, except a decent free way to rip DVD, compress and burn.

Things are looking good now and thanks to @manhinli

I added the AppleTime.exe, which is available in @manhinli's link, in the Windows Startup folder and now my Windows Time stays together synced with Apple and yea I also did some registry hack which you can find in that same link.

Not sure what changed, but now the reverse is happening - Windows Time is +13 hrs and Apple time is correct, lol. Its so annoying and irritating...If I restart the Apple Time Services in the Vista Services Menu, time becomes proper and then again after say 30 minutes, gets back to the wrong time...How come a system can be like this

Ok, so now I have disabled the Apple Time Service and also removed the Appletime.exe and have only the registry hack and it seems to work again. Hope I wont get into trouble again....Will update this thread if so.

After living with it for few days, this is my result now,

If I go offline (not connected to internet), the time in Vista goes mad

If I stay online (connected to internet), the times is good

So, what is happening here? I seriously have no idea!

You said before that the time in Vista was right for around 30 minutes before it screwed up. Maybe Internet Time Sync is still on in Vista?

I actually don't know anything about Mac / PC time problems (I would so like to own a Mac), so this is as far as I would know. You might get more luck going after content with Hackintoshes rather than Boot Camp, but I though Boot Camp driver CD would have some tool which should have fixed the time warp?

Yes. Later it changed. Now things work good in Mac. If you just see few posts earlier, I had posted about that.

I have tried many ways, except for reinstallation. I would probably reinstall Windows in two weeks of time, so have to check how it behaves after that.The Bootcamp has installed Apple Time Service and that is not making any difference

Hey Chaks,

I am not sure if such a thing exists within Parallels. I do not allow my Vista BC to automatically sync up the time instead set it to the one same as my leopard installation. Give that a try if something like that exists within Parallels.

I think you are one way right here. I reinstalled Vista and this time I didnt boot using Parallels or configure the Bootcamp with Parallels, and everything seems to be normal. Yes, the time when I log in is wrong, but given 3 or 5 mins, the time becomes proper, both in Leopard and Windows. I need not change or do any sort of changes.

So, I think its more of Parallels issue!!!!!
