As per Apple Discussions: Mojave supports APFS on Fusion Drives

Interesting though that Time Machine and APFS do not play nice.

Types of disks you can use with Time Machine on Mac

Here is a quote from that link: "Important: You can back up from an HFS+ or APFS-formatted disk to an HFS+ disk; however, Time Machine can’t back up to an APFS-formatted disk. If you select a back up disk formatted as APFS, Time Machine offers to reformat it as HFS+."

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Updated to Mojave this evening so far so good. Fusion Drive automatically converted to APFS.

Though my Brother MFC-9340CDW colour laser printer/copier/scanner is working, on checking the Brother support site noticed they haven't released updates for Mojave. Their support chart indicated updates wont be available till early October.

Have noticed that screen is a bit clearer & sharper.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

As regular readers of this forum will know, I have been using for years now a FREE maintenance program called Onyx. This program gives your entire macOS a spring clean, I especially do this pre & post all major OS updates and any large program updates. You might say that this program is equivalent to putting your car in for a grease & oil change.

OnyX is a free multifunction utility that you can use to verify the structure of the system files, to run miscellaneous maintenance and cleaning tasks, to delete caches, to rebuild various databases and indexes, and more. It can also be used to remove certain problematic folders and files, to configure parameters in the Finder, Dock, Safari, and some of Apple's applications. I have found it definitely sorts out sluggishness.

The Mojave version was released this morning. It has given me no problems, so far, and my machine feels a bit more snappy.

Also note it does not contain malware, adware or any other nasties including but not limited to back to base reporting.

Also note for Firefox users that Firefox released an update (62.0.3) this morning to address Mojave specific bugs and yes Firefox is also a bit more snappy.

I put it on my late 2015 iMac. So far, it's broken a pile of stuff - much more than usually is the case.

I've got slower Safari, web pages that won't open, autofill that won't fill, a dock icon telling me I have 9 app updates vs an App Store app that says all my apps are up to date - all sorts of nonsense.

It looks a bit better but other than that it seems worse - hopefully it will get a few early tidy up things.

Works just fine on my mid-2012 macbook pro, and 2014 macbook pro. I don't have any of those issues you are having. Maybe it is time for you to clean install? I do that every year or 2.

Although, the major enhancement seems to be 'dark mode'. I haven't really noticed any performance improvements.

As surfisup1000 stated you might be better off and do a clean install of Mojave. But do try the FREE maintenance program called Onyx. I know I keep pushing this program but I find it an excellent MacOS maintenance program. I do not have any association with Titanium Software.

Installed it on my mid-2012 macbook pro over the weekend. 'Everything' seems fine, except I noticed it takes longer (it used to be somewhat instant with previous versions) to wake-up from sleep now .

If your Macbook has a Fusion drive it may have become split . If you check using the Disk manager it will show as two drives if it is split. This can be re fused following these instructions...
