I quite like how the audience audibly balked at the cost of the hinge for the monitor - US$999. The monitor doesnt come with a hinge or a vesa bracket (US$199).

They do produce good kit, but an entry level workstation for US$12k ex tax. For high end video production sure, but does make you wonder about the size of the market.

Unless this is now a 'made in america' mac?

Someone on another forum pointed out that most high-end video pros (the exact target market for the Mac Pro & Pro Display XDR) already have desks set up with built-in Vesa mounts, so for them they'd rather buy three displays and not have to over-pay for a stand that they'll throw in the trash.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

New car anyone ❓Fully maxed out Apple Mac Pro with Pro Display XDR could top $50,000 ❗️

Thats US$ too, so be closer to $75000 in NZ

However the car will last longer, have a better warranty , and have parts available for a realistic price.

For who this is actually aimed at (actual pro's), I would think $50,000 would be acceptable as this would soon pay for itself in increased productivity.
