I did try for a while but the weather here is the biggest problem. Had watercooling and it made a difference but with the motherboard upgrade, the mounting bracket wouldn't fit anymore.
Resorted back to old fan cooling and have a nice case fan which ensures the temperature does not get too high. Problem with it was that it made so much noise I'd turn it off if the system is just doing normal activities. When gaming or doing any 3D rendering I turn it on as both CPU and Video card are making too much heat for the heatsink fans to push away.
I have 4 "dishdrawer" "cage blower" fans in mine to push the air out of the casing, two near the hard drives and two at the front near the CPU fan and another two blowing over the 4 - 250GB sata drives as they get far too hot. (you could cook an egg on them before!)
They are 24 volt so spin slower and and are perfectly quite for those all night downloading sprees! the video card is getting noisy so i'll buy a new videocard shortly anyway.
