Have you tried changing the server you sync to for time and/or disable to automatic time update?

Yes I tried every setting on date and time prefs, one after the other and had no luck. The funny thing is during daylight savings last year I had no problems - it's just happening now I have Snow Leopard and possibly a newer version of iCal.

In iCal there is a menu at the top right of the main window where you can choose your time zone. It allows you to click on a world map and find your local time; it manages to click onto New Zealand but the only option is NZST and not NZDT.
The same interface in the system prefs manages to find both NZST & NZDT.

I have found a work around - to adjust the GMT+ settings on my phone, sync, then adjust them back again - it works but is a bit of a pain.
I sync using iSync and Bluetooth for my phone. I do have mobileme but the sync to that online calendar is working fine.

Ahhh thanks, maybe it will sort itself out next week, I'd forgotten the daylight savings dates changed - maybe iCal hasn't caught on.

MBP 17in Laptop (2 years and 8months old)
In the past week I have noticed that what my partner refers to as my 1st wife, is starting to overheat quite quickly.
Im wondering if this is due to Snow Leopard?
The fan seems to have a strange noise nowdays... perhaps its time for me to get a service?

Would I log a job with apple to say "abnormal fan noise". I still have 6months apple care warranty left.
I think I just answered my own question.

I had that when I first installed Snow Leopard, it's got to do with it using 100% of the CPU to do a full index for Spotlight... Just leave it on overnight and see how it goes in the morning.

everything as far as iCal etc is all working 100% here, im using Microsoft Exchange 2007 and my clock is set t the default servers etc for syncing.

working perfect.

hi guys,
i have a friend who upgraded and it didnt go so well for him both his printers stopped working and he couldn't find drivers for them and so much for "start up in 9 seconds".

Hi, did your friend click 'custom' when installing to ensure the printer drivers were added from the list of options?

Also, i wasnt aware it was a 9second boot up.... I do however like the 7-9second shutdown!
