All is working fine, however they changed the layout of the site Removing the Humidity meter. I really enjoyed checking the humidity however it seems to have gone. Anyone know how to get it back?

email them.

I contacted them a while back, just for their own info really, to tell them their slider bar thing wasn't functioning across the 10 day extended forecast section. Just contact them and ask.

I think the MetService could take a leaf from the Australia Bureau of Meterology website, it's fantastic.
I would really love to have access to observation data like they do in Australia.

If you are in Auckland then greylynnweather.net has (an ugly) but very informative page showing current conditions and changes over last 12/24 hours etc.

Cheers,
Joseph

I'm on Metservice.com website and it looks the same? Humidity is there (94%) here, and 10 day slider is working. Am I missing something?

Hi there guys. I have an explanation for you!

Last week we launched sub-region forecasts for Wellington and Christchurch (Auckland was launched in December last year). When we went live, we'd removed the humidity and pressure info (rainfall was moved to the snazzy temp/wind/rain chart below the 10-day slider) - but feedback over the week has told us that this info is popular, so we're now working on bringing it back for you! Stay tuned over the next day or two to see it back in action.

Note that this change only affected Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch - other Towns & Cities pages have continued to display this info.

As Jaxson says, just get in touch if you ever have feedback or a problem with the site. We're @MetService on Twitter, or drop us an email to enquiries@metservice.com

Thanks for using metservice.com and keep the feedback coming! Cheers.

The humidity seemed to disappear now they give a more detailed geographic breakdown for the 4 main centres. Everyone else (which includes me Smile) still has humidity shown.

Humidity for the 4 main centres is available under "NZ Observations" on the menu under "National" (updated 3 hourly). May perhaps be found elsewhere too.

As has been suggested, if you don't like it let them know. Haven't looked to check but I think they say somewhere that they like feedback.

Great stuff, there you go, even I can't beat the MetService when it comes to responsiveness Smile. Maybe they type faster than me?

I understand dew point is a useful measurement for humidity/comfort - any chance of this information being shown?

Good aye.  I think it's a nice reminder to actively engage directly, rather than comment on another unrelated website.....

Well done Metservice for commenting back here as well.

I have the iPad app and find the today vs. 10day display quite tiny/fiddly to operate given the size of the iPad screen.

That said though, we call it the 10 day guess anyhow.  It must be quite tricky having all this historical data which is now not reflective of current trends given climate change etc.  In Palmerston North we've basically had 1 month of fine weather, during which the 10day forecast has regularly shown showers and rain for a week ahead, only to be replaced 2 days later by more sunshine....

As they say though, looking out the window tends to give the best indication of the days weather, and for the most part it's been great here lately Smile

Yep, you're right, we think this would be useful particularly for farmers (indicator of frost and the like), so our Interactive Manager has it on the list. Now that sub-regionals are live - and once our smart phone apps go live [very shortly Sealed !] - the team will be on to the next round of tweaks so hope to see it sometime soon.

Cheers

now if only they could fix the bug that keeps forecasting rain for Christcurch, but it never actually happens! A nice blustery rainy/sleety Saturday and Sunday would be great for business if you can manage it :)
