Not a fan so far, especially given on a 27" screen it takes up about 1/3 of the middle of the page, which is annoying!

I agree, not really liking it either. Too cluttered, they could have made much better use of the space.

I was hoping for a design that used the entire screen regardless of monitor size (like Geekzone) and was easy to navigate, and actually looked like a new design, rather than the spruce up they've given it.

I sorta like the new layout it is narrow in the middle, on a large monitor it needs to be wider, it also feels very very much like the "new york times" website, even the logos feel the same (ok sure its probably the typefont) but it still feels sorta the same, even tho the layouts are different in parts.

I quite like it, has the Lifehacker/Gizmodo feel that alot of news related websites are going too these days.

I don't like the body text font - I think it is harder to read.

I dont like that they have picked the H that looks like nothing like an H for their logo.

It's kinda like they thought "Wow, how can we fit MOAR NEWS into a NARROW COLUMN OF SPACE"

In which case they've done well.  But its' hard to read for me, better use of space would be a start, maybe a little colour or .. some kind of design elements.. it's just like a bunch of articles whacked on a page.

The front page looks horrendous, theres too much white space. The articles are ok however.

Don't like the H and it needs a bit of color. There's too much white space on the front page, they could have made better use of it.

I need to get a very narrow and tall monitor.
Perhaps it works well on a tablet?

Can confirm it looks great on iPad retina display! Slow to load however, hopefully this is just as a result of high traffic, and not indicitave of normal loading time.
Comments on stories won't display on iPad Safari, tried to register and activation link won't work, tried to use the support page and that won't work either, fails to submit.

Cheers,
Joseph
