Hey guys,

Just availed of this offer on zavvi.com and thought I'd share... too good not to I reckon...

Fast and Furious 1-5 Blu-Ray collection for GBP 9.98 (NZD$19.20) DELIVERED to NZ... That's less than $4 per movie... Tidy! Cool

Zavvi.com charge GBP 0.99p per order for standard shipping worldwide.

Few other good box-set titles available too for sub/around GBP 10.00 but this one is the best value I think...

What kind of reputation does this zavvi.com site have?

Has any one dealt with them?

If it seems to good to be true...

To be perfectly honest, this is my first time buying from them but they've been around for years and are very highly spoken of on other forums that I participate in.

When Amazon.co.uk stopped their free shipping to Aus & NZ for orders over GBP 25.00 (about 9+ months ago now), zavvi.com stepped up their game, sharpened their pencil, extended this 0.99p shipping deal and it would seem, have taken a HUGE chunk of Amazon.co.uk's antipodean market... (LOTS of discussions on Amazon's boards alone about this and zavvi get great press on their competitors site...)

Since they use paypal as a payment option, your purchase is insured anyway so not much risk to speak of one way or another...

Guessing you ordered it? I'd be interested to hear once you receive it. I could waste quite a bit of money on that site.

Zavvi is the old Virgin Megastore brand so should be fairly legit.  nice find!

I'll let you know when I receive it alright...

Have had a bit of a Barney with them already though regarding VAT (GST)... They don't deduct the VAT (which I believe they should) but given the crazy low price if the item and the 0.99p shipping it's really only splitting hairs...

I'm a life-long hairsplitter though... ;)

hmm, also that 99p delivery charge to NZ seems to apply no matter what you buy, even if you buy a laptop or something. pretty interesting.

Well I ordered both the fast and furious set and back to the future trilogy on bluray last night. Although the company used a secure transaction I've not received a email confirming my order yet which is a bit surprising.

Although in saying that it does have a tick box saying don't get order updates and get emails about future deals. Funny thing though although it does say order updates in there I would have assumed you would at least get the you placed a order with us one.

Would be odd if my goods just arrived without ever getting a email at all lol.

I ordered just over 24 hours ago and received a confirmation email within moments. It said at the time however that the estimated dispatch date was 15th Jan - it's now 9.20am on 15th Jan in the UK so I expect that the item will ship overnight NZ time.

That's right although nothing to do with Virgin or Richard Branson anymore - The Virgin Megastore chain was sold, rebranded to zavvi and promptly closed down as a high-street retailer within a couple of years. The owners decided on an online-only model instead and seem to be going strong since...

Hey Jaxson! I picked up the Ultimate Bourne Collection from The Warehouse for only $20 just before Xmas. Didn't seem as if it was on sale and I wondered if it had been mis-priced so i bought two, one for me and one as a gift :)

The problem I have with the Warehouse is the seemingly total lack of categorisation. Everything is always a mess (admittedly it's probably caused by customers moving things around). But it's too frustrating to find specific items.
