Anyone know where i can buy a tortoise?
I have some websites offer to bring them into NZ , are there any restrictions/fee's with importing Tortoise's?

Tortoises on the other hand I wouldn't have a clue and from what I understand tortoises and usually the massive things you see in zoo's so not sure why you would want one as a pet as they would be a nightmare to look after.

I know... and I'm aware that it is more common to find turtle, and having been to Pet Expo this year, there was a rescue organisation that advising people to consider adoption before buy from pet shop as many animals been neglected.
And having said that, I have not seen many tortoise breeder or even being sold in pet shot - they're hard to find. One thing for sure that I know of, it is almost very hard, or near impossible to import it yourself as individual.
