Hi guys

as we all know about Amazon's Global Eligible scheme.

I successfully ordered an item a month ago, but yesterday and today, when I sort products by Amazon Global Eligible (checked the box), I can see items which should be available for purchase, but when I add them to shopping cart and check-out - all of them can't be shipped to NZ. WTF?

I'm missing something and Amazon is not longer ship to NZ again? or it's a bug?

Anyone bought anything (not books) from Amazon directly in the past week?

Cheers.

Just added a couple of Blu-rays and successfully proceeded to the last confirmation page without any issues. I'm not sure what "Global Eligible" is though; do I need to do something special for that or is it just Amazon's name for international deliveries?

"Global" doesn't necessarily means "ALL countries in the world". Some items may be shipped to some countries but not others.

but was not it the whole point of this program/scheme if product is part of it, item can be shipped to countries which are part of global eligible scheme?

Some brands won't let them ship internationally regardless. It's not up to Amazon.

I've found that sometimes if Amazon.com won't ship, Amazon.co.uk will. Only sometimes though.

I had an interesting case recently where I purchased a turntable from Amazon. This turntable had two colour options, but my desired one couldn't be shipped directly to New Zealand as only one of them shipped directly from Amazon, with the other model shipping from a third party.

I've had stuff change almost while I'm looking at it. I went to buy a watch and Amazon wouldn't ship it to NZ. I set up a YouShop account, entered the details into my Amazon account... and suddenly the watch could be shipped directly to NZ. Go figure.

THis really bugs me too.

Couldn't they filter out items that cannot be shipped to NZ? Especially as they have your address in your profile.

This is why youshop and other reshippers are so handy. Easy reshipping, and a moderate speed, for a usually reasoanble price.
