haha, when you said Boston my first thought was "that's one hell of a trip", then I realized you're not in New Zealand! It's early. I'm tired.

Anyway, this weekend I'm looking forward to studying hard examining the new .NET3 framework in order to extend my skillset (read: playing Oblivion). I've also got to do some shopping, finish some coding standards docs & tidy the house. Believe me, I'd much rather be heading to Boston. Laughing

I spend my time online mostly checking out news, forums, game reviews and an unholy amount of time reading obscure MSDN articles & BSD (not to be confused with BDSM) man pages. I also like peanuts, Dilbert & PennyArcade.

Our long weekends are in different times of the year, but it's great to have an extra day now and then...  We used to hop in the car and travel around the country, but with a baby it get's harder to do this. Still try to relax though.

Can't beat brunching out, but we tend to have brunch with big fry up things every weekend anyway...

As for BSD, are you sure that logo with the pitchfork is not related to BSDM, rwales?

I might make a little fort out of couch cushions and blankets.

Na.. not sure (next weekend is a long weekend here and will be doing something then).

still recovering from the great pancake fiasco this morning at breakfast.
Buying $2 pancake mixture from the warehouse is a bad move! ;)

Again lucky for some. My weekends are always friday/saturday. Yesterday I spent half the day working for the GF as she is currently going around the south island (yes she is working down there). A few hours later I do some shopping in Wellington. Then I'm at my own work, before heading home.

Today I was woken by work, as we have stocktake on Tuesday, so theres alot of prep todo. I hate being the guy that knows where everything is!

So next weekend, where my Queen has her "birthday" (anyone know how many she has a year, APART from one! :D) I will be at work preparing for stocktake number two.

I hope I havnt bored too many people

It is our turn now for a long weekend! Happy Birthday Queen Elizabeth II...

(Interesting note: each country seems to celebrate the Queen's birthday at different dates - go figure).

I have to brag. I spent queens birthday weekend at Ceol Aneas in Nelson. Amazing weekend, caught up with old friends, made new ones, pulled the ultimate stunt in Burger King and got away with it. The short version of this goes like this, a small group of us got bored at 11 pm on the Monday night and went looking for an open pub to jam in (Irish music) we couldnt find one. The next best thing was Burger King. This burger king has only been open about 3 days so its full of trainers and some very inexperienced teenagers and few customers. We all order a soda each and then sit down pull out our intruments and start to play. Of course being experienced pub players we all have the ability to play louder than the piped music. The poor staff dont know what to do about this and keep coming over to stare then run off back behind the counter. The hard core skater boys in the background are still trying to look adult and serious while tapping away in time with their feet. It was priceless and I think that we will organise a covert jam session crawl in the future.
