George W Bush was coached by his managers to alter his walking style. He learned to turn his arms so that, as he walked, the backs of his hands would face forwards.

That pitches the elbows out and this additional apparent bulk is believed to make scrawny types look more imposing when seen on TV.

The trend has made it here now.

If you are quick you can catch Colin Craig on the six pm news on TV1's plus one channel.

Aha - so reversing the logic, if I walk with my palms facing forward, will I look slimmer? Best diet ever.

I remember seeing that, which prompted a big 'WTF is that walk for real' to my wife. So it makes you walk like a big imposing door knob :)

I'm not a complete idiot, I still have some parts missing.

If its anything like Colin Craigs walk then you will just look like a large chimp.

Speaking of tree dwellers, I couldnt help but think in that linked clip, Craig walks like a chimp, Norman looks like one.

A bit more of a dip in his step and he has the 'Fonzie' walk down pat. My weren't those happy days....
