I was wondering what would be the best pub/s in Auckland to watch the England vs Italy in the Fifa World Cup on Sunday 15th June @ 10AM? Wanting a lively atmosphere with lots of people, good quality big screens etc. Let me know your recommendations. Thanks!

Ditto for down here in CHCH - not sure what places are around or what booking might be required.

THE FOX in the Viaduct is open for EVERY game of the Football World Cup. It is the only pub with a special license in Auckland allowing it to do so.
Getting in for the early morning games, (4am and 8am) requires you to be a member of The Fox's Football Supporters Club. Then as a member you can buy tickets as you are a member NOT a member of the public.
This weekends game of England v Italy does not require membership as its on at 10am, however the other games will require you to become a member and buy a ticket, ($10).
The Fox can be contacted on 09 3582767 events@thefox.co.nz

During Euro 2000 I remember watching a game at a bar in Wellington.  England were in the process of being knocked out by Romania and I was the only person watching on a screen in the corner whilst a rugby game played on the big screen..
