Hi,
Who can help me to change the layout of my blog a little bit? I am not a pro html programmer (yet). Nobody's perfect.
http://www.geekzone.co.nz/Aloha
I'd like to have my profile on the left side and the main blog window on the righ (or centre) as freitasm or taniwha for example.
I tried to check their source code, but I didnt get smarter.. Smile

Please pm me if you have few free minutes to check my CSS code and tell me what to change exactly.
Thanks heaps in advance.

Mauricio and Juha's are specially designed... but a few mods and GZ bloggers managed to break some form and create a look and feel of a different kind.

The base/fundamental knowledge lies quite heavily on how to better use CSS to morph the HTML structure to a CSS driven layout. It's not easy, or "MySpace-que" method but you get to play and learn with different trials. Use the Use staged custom CSS to try out your style on your session. Everyone else will see what is in the "Custom CSS" but with you logged in, you will be only person to get the staged custom css.

I'd suggest start small like with colours and style... then venture in to css layout when you feel much ready. Study the HTML code to learn the HTML structure and pick up on the classes/ids of each respective block.

Draw out the layout that you would like to see in the final, develop the concept, and specify a few CSS rules/properties, then try it out in staged.

Good luck :-D

p/s: I haven't seen anyone tried 3-columns layout like mine, though mine doesn't look at elegant in colour but I think I was the first to break the layout to 3-columns and raised the challenge (to Brad, namely)... [hee hee]

Thanks Chefie.
If you'd check my blog you'd see that I made already changes, colours, fonts, etc.

Then I tried to swap the windows, but dont know in which row I have to put the command exactly. I dont have too much time to start learning html programming, therefore I asked for help. I think for a pro would be just 5 minutes to help me. Or 3.
It's the lazy way, I know. But meanwhile I am waiting for help I am trying to solve it by myself too. Let's see.

don't be afraid to break into it... the HTML structure is fixed, so you won't kill the content (this is where the limitation ends) and to morph it the best you can using CSS, that just as easy as by trial and error and bit by bit so you won't have to revert back a lot of steps when something isn't working as you imagine.
