I'm having trouble with a website I'm helping someone with - I can't access it via Snap, but I could earlier today and I can via VPN. I suspect the host has blocked me for overuse or something. I can't post the site publicly. Would a couple of people on different ISPs mind helping me test to see if it's working? Ideally say Vodafone, Snap, and Spark. Just one from each is fine.

If you're willing to help please post your ISP below and I'll PM you - it'll only take a sec to check if two websites will open. Will probably PM in a half hour or so if I have volunteers.

Thanks in advance for any help :)

Thanks Brumfondl will PM you.

Ray, I know the site is up, I'm just trying to work out if my IP is blocked, snap is blocked, or New Zealand is blocked. It's to a west host server in the US.

Currently in Mernda, Melbourne if you want me to try from here.

Thanks Mauricio. Thanks for the offer BH but NZ is most useful at the moment.

Thanks guys. I think it must be either my IP that's blocked, or just Snap UFB. I'm on chat with the host company tech support, to see if they can figure it out - though they seem relatively clueless so far.

I've realised I can post the server name, not my customers's domain name. It's sl-507-1.slc.westdc.net

Curious if any of you can ping the server - I can't. I get a weird traceroute too below.

16 174 ms 178 ms 171 ms as29854.xe-0-0-1.cr1.slc1.us.as4436.gtt.net [69.22.153.22]
17 173 ms 172 ms 171 ms 206.130.126.10.west-datacenter.net [206.130.126.10]
18 176 ms 175 ms 174 ms 206.130.126.69.west-datacenter.net [206.130.126.69

Compare this with the traceroute from network-tools.com
9 33 33 33 206.130.126.26 206.130.126.26.west-datacenter.net
10 42 35 35 206.130.126.69 206.130.126.69.west-datacenter.net
11 35 35 35 209.236.73.214 sl-507-1.slc.westdc.net

See how it hops from the 206.130 address to the server on the network-tools trace, but on mine it tries to do 10 more hops and times out. Their support has no idea why.

I can ping, and I get a normal-looking traceroute. I'm with Mynxnet (DSL).

Thanks Behodar. They now think there's a range block of my IP.

I can test however they way I read it you weren't keen on posting the URL publicly, is the site NSFW because if so I can't test it using my work connection but can from home. Both are Snap connections (Fibre and DSL)

Thanks BTR. Resolved now - they blocked my IP for reasons unknown, and seem unable to lift it. Lucky I have a VPN.
