Ask Shapelle Corby or somebody like that. money-mouth money-mouth

I believe there are still people around who are stupid enough to carry items from country to country on behalf of people they have never met

I am unsure the benefit of your post, but to attempt to put your mind at ease, it will be a digital camera, brand new, sealed and delivered direct from the worlds largest retailer.

UPS maybe? Lots of cost effective and safe ways to import goods from the US.

(Sorry the humour in my original reply went over your head)

I presume you will ask the person to declare the item and get them to pay the duties involved?

Why not get the item in NZ or use Shipto or alike or even get the item sent delivered straight to you from the company?

I presume you are trying to save $$ but getting someone else to import it for you with duty charges/gst will it be cheaper?

Yeah. Just youshop it. The worlds biggest retailer has no issues shipping there or with a foregn card. Unlike most US sellers that makes me activly avoid US sellers on ebay.

I was going to say YouShop as well when I saw your post last night, but I assumed it would've been something more than a digital camera.

If you are worried about the camera being damaged, YouShop do offer insurance with their prices as well.
