Recently acquired a Maine Coon and apprently its leash trained, got a blue vest \ harness on order and for giggles was thinking of adorning it with a velcro patch saying

- "Police"
- "Police K-9"
- "Customs"

Failing the legality of that will consider

- "FBI"
- "SECURITY"

So I know it could be considered impersonating a police officer if I had it attached to my German Sheppard, but what about my Maine Coon ?

Has this really been established as fact?

The fact that you are with a dog which says "Police" in no way infers you yourself are an officer, and a dog presumably cannot be mistaken for an officer, and even if it were, you can't charge a dog with an offence. When companies servicing Police cars are driving them, other than covering up the lights on top (which may not be universal practice), they make no other attempt to hide the fact that they are driving a police car.

Hmmmm good point, im leaning towards "Breast Inspector" but not sure that would fit, they are long cats..but not that long.
