wasabi2k: army surplus store - buy 10 pairs. done.
Dulouz: My old favorite NZ army socks (winter ones not the green summer ones) have been retired and I need some new ones. I'd like to replace them with the same but I'm not interested in joining the army. Any recommendations for good quality, heavy duty, warm and long lasting woollen socks would be well received.
timmmay: Thorlo socks. You can buy them from amazon or direct from them - shipped via youshop. I suggest the coolmax light hiker socks, but you may want the heavier duty ones. You can probably buy them in NZ, but NZ is expensive.
Their dress socks are what I consider the best business socks available. I buy a new set (6-8 pairs) every 2-3 years.

freitasm: I buy Icebreaker socks. Wool. Made in USA with NZ merino. I buy Icebreaker on Amazon because it's cheaper than buying in retail here. And they ship directly.
