Now that the book shop in Featherston Street in Wellington has closed down and Tech books in Auckland online shop looks pretty sparse, is there anywhere else on shore having a (decent) range of IT books or is it off to Amazon for expedited shipping?

Pretty much amazon or ebay. The same problem goes with selling text books in NZ. Because the market is so small, they are very difficult to resell.

On a side note, during the Microsoft Ignite I wanted to buy a book to gift to a speaker - walked a block to Whitcoulls to find out it is no more.... Lucky people on Twitter guide me to Unity Books on High St and I did find the book I wanted there - but it is a small selection and kind of niche.
