So far this year I have managed to do 100% of my xmas shopping without getting off my couch.
No packed parking lots, no teeth-grating xmas carols on high-rotate, no crowded shops.

We've pretty much finished all ours this year too. As a rule I try to swing it so we don't have to visit brick and mortar retailers at all in December.

Where possible, I largely try to buy online, but sometimes you need to have a bit of a browse in an old-school retail environment. As long as its done well before the Christmas rush, it's usually pretty manageable.

I enjoy the hustle and bustle of xmas at shopping centres. I like the Xmas spirit etc. I don't enjoy finding a park, but there are worse things to do.

cripes you think xmas is busy in NZ, you should see what the malls and crowds and parking is like in Seattle

LOL. I told one shop owner recently who had xmas decorations up in October I wouldn't buy stuff in principle :)

The shopping bit has been easy, 66.6% has been done on-line. (Yes, just the three presents needed.) it's wrapping the sodding things I detest more.

Did Eric Clapton really think she looked wonderful...or was it after the 15th outfit she tried on and he just wanted to get to the party and get a drink?

me too, I enjoy browsing brick and mortar stores finding stuff I wouldnt even think to search for online. I'll probably buy 50/50 online/in store. Looking forward to boxing day sales too :)

When I lived in the UK, I used to order everything gift wrapped from Amazon UK or M&S to be delivered addressed to me at my parents. When I tipped up on Xmas Day, I opened the shipping boxes and handed out the stuff!

Since I have no one in NZ to buy for except Er Indoors, I do the same for relatives worldwide.

Works a treat.

I'm one of those annoying people who buy throughout the year as I see things I think people will like, so usually only have a couple of things left to get by December. But I don't mind shopping in the physical stores, especially as the Christmas sales seem to start well before Christmas these days - no need to wait until Boxing Day any more.

Likewise UK.

There was a shopping centre near where I lived that had 5000 spaces in the car park and people still queued for hours (literally) to get in there.

Sheer madness.

I find JB Hifi tend to do amazing deals on boxing days still. The rest of the stores kinda meh. But DSE troubles might make it interesting this year.
