Hi

Moving to a new house this weekend, need to decide on a company (yeah last minute).  I've been looking at prices online.

According to powerswitch website Trustpower provdes the cheapest annual power bill for us
(2 people / not @ home during the day / insulated / heat pump / don't use aircon / no hot water)

So far looking at LPG prices online for Kingston suburb, Wellington I can see that trust power is also the cheapest for LPG.

Trustpower
$6.98/mo rental + $88.61 / cylinder
$100 welcome credit
Including prompt payment discount, and dual fuel discount for using trustpower electricity.

Energy Online
$5 / month + $99/bottle
$50 welcome credit

Nova Energy
$9.58 / month + $97.23 / bottle
First bottle free, including prompt payment discount

ElGas
$9.83 / month + $103 per bottle
$100 welcome credit

Does anyone get cheaper prices for LPG cylinders currently?

Genesis do some gas plans which average out to about $110 per bottle (incl. monthly fees).

https://signup.genesisenergy.co.nz/lpg-plans/

Our plan is $55 per month, with 6 bottles included. Then $105 per bottle afterwards.

As far as our usage goes, we've just had our 6th bottle delivered and still have 4 months left though so figure we'll be buying some more. It's two adults and one kid with a few overstayers every now and then during the colder months. The gas is only used for instant hot water.

I'll be interested to hear what other people have.
