My wife purchased around 400 dollars of Estee lauder cosmetic products in a treatme sales.

I am not familiar with these "bulk buy parallel imported" treatme deals but have bought a couple of times from treatme for local businesses so I trusted the brand.

After a loooong wait the product has finally arrived from Australia, but the looks different from what my wife bought from DFS in NZ.

And products were shipped by a private individual rather than a parallel import company based in AU/NZ, moreover, the customs declaration stated 40 dollars for the entire order (probably to avoid paying for import taxes)

I am wondering if anyone is in a similar situation?

Wifey buys cosmetics etc from Strawberrynet from time to time. Packaging is always different as it comes from other world markets. Not sure if that helps but perhaps some comfort that parallel imported products can have different packaging/labels depending where it comes from.

Lazy is such an ugly word, I prefer to call it selective participation

Usually the most common way to figure it out is the quality/look of the packaging, Does the individual bottle/package excluding the box look to be the same product with an alternate sticker or does it appear to be a cheaper variant?

Often it'll be the same product and core packaging with an alternate set of stickers and box.

Yep, confirmed it's fake.

You can easily tell which one is the counterfeit from below I don't even need to point out.

Also all the batch numbers are the same on the printed instruction manual (As per youtube video here https://youtu.be/PdKiR3Aj0i0?t=4m32s)

I am a bit surprised Treatme allows this kind of seller to operate on their site, last time I checked quite a lot of people purchased this deal, hopefully they realize and request a refund.

You could always take some consolation from the fact that there's no scientific evidence at all that the real stuff does as claimed (repair you at night), and as the fake stuff would struggle to be more than useless, not much has been lost.

Yeah I know - there's an alternate reality thing involved here, but expensive cosmetics are very much a blue pill thing

How long? Long enough to avoid a credit chargeback? Ask the bank. Local importer will usually be happy to give an opinion on the product. If it's fake treatme are local you can dispute.

It has been more than a month but under the 2 months chargeback threshold in case Treatme doesn't want to take responsibility.

At least I am 100% sure the real stuff wouldn't do any harm (clinically tested), which is more than I can say for the fakes.
