Driving through Auckland city I can see glass balustrades on some of the more exposed balconies vibrating in the wind.

I hope the many construction sites are making an effort to tie stuff down today.

Flags on cranes may not be a smart idea.

Been some mighty gusts in Wgtn area as well, incl a 167kmh one in Cook Strait!

Mt Kaukau (Wellington) recorded an average wind speed over a 10 minute period of 133 km/h, which included a gust of 161 km/h.
