Greetings all

My granny used to make it and I love the stuff, I do have a Fig tree but they aren't ready yet, so i thought I'd buy some but obviously not being a standard flavour of jam, I don't really know where to get any. Anyone seen it sold anywhere, As a close second I have my marrow and ginger jam, but no other bugger here ate it so i got quite sick of it and haven't made it in a few years

Cheers

This looks the closest to what you are looking for: http://www.peplers.co.nz/product/fig-ginger-jam/

Found this as well: https://tematafigs.co.nz/shop/just-fig-preserve-orange-and-ginger/

Might be worth ordering from those two places? I have not tried them, so no recommendation.. :)

Here's a jam related question.

I much prefer jelly or seedless/bitless versions of jam. In the US and EU these are easy to get. In NZ, rare as hen's teeth for some reason.

Does anyone know of a good source?

Ditto.

In the supermarkets, sometimes I find the jelly versions near the jams, sometimes in the International sections, but mostly not at all.

Vaguely recall that some are made with fruit juice instead of sugar, so may even be in the health food sections.

I still have a few jars of homemade blackberry and apple jam to get thru, so I wont be looking for store-bought jellies for a while..
