I noticed that Yellow/Whitepages still has my name next to an old address and phone number that I havent been at for over 7 years.  There was a link saying "contact us if info wrong" or along those lines... so sent them a message indicating the entry could be removed.

Got back "Contact your phone provider to do this".

I really don't care if it does stay listed incorrectly, no skin off my nose, but just curious now...

That number was assigned by provider#1 when I moved in, then I moved to provider #2 and took the number with me staying at same location, now I'm with provider #3 at a different number and address.

Who would I contact ? The original issuing provider ? My current provider altho the number etc has nothing to do with them ?

Or is the system setup so anyone can contact any provider and have someones number removed/changed ? ;-p
