The first trailer for the 25th James Bond movie has been released.

This instalment sees that Bond, Daniel Craig, has left active service but his retirement peace is short-lived when his old friend Felix Leiter from the CIA turns up asking for help, leading Bond onto the trail of a mysterious villain, played by Remi Malek armed with dangerous new technology.

Here is the Guardians review

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Unfortunately we will have to wait a bit longer now - the movie was originally scheduled for April 2020, moved to November 2020 and now confirmed to April 2021.

The news follows other tentpole films also moving off their dates after disappointing returns for Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which has reached over $280m internationally but only $41m in the US, where cinemas in the three main markets – New York City, Los Angeles and San Francisco – remain shuttered.

And recent rumours are that Netflix and Apple+ might be interested in buying rights for direct-to-streaming from MGM - but MGM wants around US$ 600 million for it...

Skyfall made $1.1 billion and Spectre $900 million at the box office, the Studio usually clips around just over 50% of this ( it may be higher for a bankable play like bond) so that's at least  $550 and $450 million respectively - so north of $600 is not out of the range of expectations...

I can see Apple going for it, they already have PPV set up on their system, I wonder what would be needed for Netflix to incorporate a premium level of subscription / pay per view model on their platform?

Disney+ have done it with Mulan, I wonder how that is going for them? (google seems a bit ambiguous and there are no official figures I don't think).
