They have officially killed the Commodore, but are still selling utes and SUVs.

I'm predicting they'll give up on everything in 2020 and close doors on the brand.

1. The atmosphere will catch on fire.

2. Oz PM will walk into the ocean with a lump of coal around his neck, never to be seen again.

3. The world will end with a whimper.

I think we'll get some rain.

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

My predictions

In February, people will suggest that the school holidays should be moved to February because the weather is better. Also all things to do with ‘Te Tiriti’.

In March, people will debate whether daylight saving goes on too long.

In April, people will complain about Easter trading restrictions.

In June, we will debate the role of the monarchy in NZ.

July to October will be overwhelmed by politics, with political parties differentiating themselves from much earlier in the year (agreeing to disagree).

Also in September, we will debate whether daylight saving starts too soon.

In October, coalition talks will commence.

In November, we will debate the banning of the public sale of fireworks.

In December, we will show manic shopping, charity Christmas Day meals, and the year in retrospect as all the news media are on holiday.

Throughout the year Twitter, Facebook and corporate press releases will be the main source of news. Very little actual journalism will be resourced or attempted.

Donald Trump will be re-elected by Americans who don’t care what keyboard warriors in the rest of the world think.

The United Kingdom will leave the European Union despite what keyboard warriors in the rest of the world think.

We will not burn, drown or fall to pestilence despite what the keyboard warriors think (don’t know about beyond 2020 tho’).

Happy New Year!

(Note: All of the non political points above will be repeated in 2021)

Edit: Corrected spelling

We will continue to talk about climate change. We will NOT list all possible aids, costs, cost to emissions ratios, timeframes, so that we can set a plan

Labour will lose the election.

Please No - Mr Negativity Simon Bridges has the appeal of a dried out loofah. Besides 9 years of National, lets give Labour a chance. I mean one term of fact finding committees and a 2nd term to enact the recommendations ❓😀

As for Trump getting re-elected, yes, so long as US employment stays steady even if the economy tanks. The GOP are too chicken to admit they made a colossal mistake as the present elected would loose their seats and their egos wont allow that.

Besides the world, including America and UK, is going through a very selfish "Right Wing" stage brought on mainly by middle east conflict which the western world is tired of and Trump has allowed Banks and Big Business to become greedy again. We tried "Centralism" and appeasement and along came the huge increase in religious ideologies due to the perceived failure of "Left Wing" to "Centralism" policies.

Oops - what have I done 😀

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Doesn't really matter. The housing crisis, education, health, transport have all suffered. The current Govt hasnt shown the talent to do anything, the Opposition doesn't have the talent nor the interest to do anything. Whether its all talk and no action or no talk and no action, the result is the same

I predict:

* disappointment if you rely on these other predictions.

* politics and religion will continue to be the most heated topics here and that includes the political religion of climate change. How I wanted to reply to tdgeek. But I resisted the urge so that is a positive start to the year.

* my cursor will continue to disappear when editing posts on Geekzone using Firefox.

* disappointment if you rely on my predictions too.
