I'm tempted to buy some gadgets from https://noco.co.nz/pages/about-us

I've spent a couple of hours digging around and found very little.

The owner has had a handful of import and/or tech companies, at least one of which went but (PCXchange)

There's one old reddit post, basically asking the same question I'm asking here.

No reviews on the google, very little else to go on... I find it odd that I can't find anyone talking about this company anywhere.

Has anybody put their toe in this particular pond?

I'd say they're just the usual "from home" setup... just order things from the suppliers as people want it.

My main concern would be the number of companies the "director" has been tied up with that have ceased trading ;) Hes either got poor choice in business partners, or is not very business savvy. If he vanishes and youve spent a fair bit of $$ with him, any support/warranty may vanish if its not a popular branded item.

Hmmm... I'm tempted to 'giveitago' but I am looking at a few hundered, so maybe I'll let someone else.

I was hoping I could rest on some security from Shopify, combined with NZ CGA, but you make a good point about brands.  When you pay more for a name brand product, you're buying into the fact that they will protect their brand by protecting their customers.

This is just such a sweet deal on a FHD projector!

OK, OK, if it's too good to be true...

Take a look on Aliexpress as well... lot of the stuff seems to be the sort of item you can source from there easily. Altho with shipping it could be a while to see it....

I’m pretty keen to buy local - especially right now. Even if someone else is importing it, I’m doing my bit, and getting some support from the CGA to boot. That thinking breaks down if you stretch it too far, but it’s my starting point at least.
Thx!
