One serious post at least!   The Great Bombardment threw massive amounts of water onto Earth via comets and meteors over a few million years, it makes sense that some stayed there, plus the Moon is well inside our magnetic field so less will have been removed by the Sun. OTOH its hardly news, water exists elsewhere in the solar system, its common
