The things you find in your fathers garage that hes been hoarding junk in for decades....  :D

https://www.vintageradio.co.nz/model/hmv/476d

Also found a stack of some old (50's/60's) UK university festival magazines in very good condition, shotgun shells (not used - we didn't have a gun), an old BNZ "money bag" (Dad, is there something you need to tell me), multiple parts for a Ford Escort and more..... why did I volunteer to start cleaning this out ? :D

Not sure about the Wireless,
But there might be money in the BNZ money bag - if XPD didn't check yet. :-)

Nice looking gadget. Can that do spotify?

Don't get caught with that ammo if you don't have a forearm's license BTW. The local policeofficerman made sure to tell us what to do if we found a gun when clearing out the FIL's place a few years ago.

Could be.

It was working apparently a while ago, but dosent appear to be now. Will give it a clean up and see if anything obvious.....

The money will be buried next to the shotgun that the shells were for.  😜

You can try contacting the HRSA, Historical Radio Society of Australia, about it, however you're probably not going to make a fortune on it, unless it's something extremely exotic the market is so small and the number of surviving sets large enough that the prices aren't driven very high. In addition typically anything this old will need considerable restoration (all the capacitors, mains cord, valves and sockets, etc). You may be better off keeping it as a memento of your dad.
