Wanting to buy an office chair for work from home.

Looking at Buro Metro II.

They were around the 350-400 mark few years ago.  Currently showing $700+. Did the price gone up or do they go around $400 when on sale?

look at Hurdleys office furniture, they seem to have the best prices.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

I think the price has just increased. Maybe a result of currency changes - really don't know.

I picked one up in April last year from Office Furniture Warehouse for $419.00 + GST and now they are $500 + GST.

They're good chairs IMO. I work from home and so use mine daily and for ~8hrs a day. Find it comfortable.

Second-hand might be a good option too. Someone on Cheapies mentioned picking one up for $50 (thought didn't mention what model it was).

Wakrak:

Also might be able to do a pricematch @ Warehouse Stationery?

That may not be possible in Auckland, there's a number of places I've looked at where it's not available at level 3 because it's a manual, in-store process. So check around whether it's actually possibly before choosing a seller based on a price-match price.

Thank you. They seem to have the cheaper price. Will place an order for the 24/7 high back. Comes to $558.

These chairs are online only at warehousestationery. So, even if they pricematch, will end up paying more incl oversize delivery charges.
