Check out rodemic.com

I have a Sony DCRTRV25E and purchased a Rode 'Videomic' (Directional Video Condenser Microphone).

It slots into the accessory shoe on the top of the camera, and has a 3.5mm lead which plugs into the stereo mic jack on the camera.  Great Sound, Clear Clarity and powered by a 9 volt battery.  It's a stereo mic and was well worth the money.

There is a few stores in NZ that sell Rode mics.  I got mine from www.prosound.co.nz in 2006 for $220.

I liked the Rode so much, I got a Rode NT3 for my studio.

Okay, thanks for the sugestion. I'm looking at the Sony ECMHW1 Bluetooth Microphone.
What's the cheapest place in NZ (or America, because my uncle is going there soon) where I can get one?

Thanks

Hmm oddly interesting microphone..

http://www.itd.co.nz/product/i/222153.html  <-- a quick search seems to show this the cheapest nz place.. you may find it cheaper... $235 incl gst and they have one in stock.

Sonystyle usa lists it as $199.99 USD.. but convert that to NZ (using xe.com) and it's $377 NZD.
