Friend says he wants digital version of latest Rolling Stones, but only place that seems to offer purchasable music downloads is Amazon, but they don't provide to NZ.

Easy to rip a CD of course, but where does one download such music these days?

I always hope to find my music on Bandcamp, they give you options for various MP3 bitrates or Flac.
In the case of the Rolling Stones, their official site suggest you're only going to find it on Apple/Amazon/Spotify/Youtube

HD Tracks is good although most of their stuff is unavailable outside the US. I had a Linode instance running a simple Squid proxy at one point that I used for accessing HD Tracks just so I could buy their US-only catalogue. Cost about $10 for the instance and I would only boot it up when I wanted to use it.

Hackney Diamonds is available on iTunes to purchase for $17.99 if you're that way inclined.

7 Digital have a NZ store, often with a choice of MP3 or FLAC versions.

Hackney Diamonds is on there but its 320kbps MP3 only.

Alternatively, is the iTunes store still a thing?

I guess you could always try an VPN and see which foreign store accepts NZ credit card numbers if you really wanted CD quality or better.

I wouldn't trust this website with a fake credit card number.

Your choice. I've used various cards over the years with no leaks / exposures / fraudulent transactions on my CC. I also don't have to do anything special to access the site. Browse to the site & pay. Simple & easy. Items purchased 5+ years ago are still available for download again & again & again.

I am glad it works for you.

For all we know, you could be giving money and credit card details to a shady group in a region beyond the reach of the law.

Reading about this website it seems it sells content from bootleg CD and DVDs.
