I've had a lot of spam from Dell sending me invoices for stuff I never ordered. So I blocked them because Dell support has no idea how to resolve this.

Anyway I got an email from DBSchenker the other day about making sure my warehouse is ready to receive 60 monitors. They were serious. So I told them I don't have an account with Dell and didn't order these. This morning I got a despatch notification from Dell.

Dell will be open soon, for chat, but this is getting ridiculous.

Amazing that Dell would ship 60 monitors without them being paid for.

they got my address for some reason. the last thing i bought was via a Dell broker. i am hoping they are invoicing the broker because their company name is on the shipment notification.

i want nothing to do with Dell ever.

"In the 2022 film The Batman, Robert Pattinson’s Bruce Wayne uses a heavily modified, "rugged" style laptop for his detective work. This laptop was identified by viewers and tech analysts as a modified Dell Latitude Rugged Extreme laptop. Additionally, Dell and its subsidiary Alienware are frequent product placement partners in Warner Bros. DC films."

Nice try, Dell product placement guy.

The important questions here are: What model are they and how much are you selling them for ;-)

In seriousness though... you'll likely be expected to accept and sign for the shipment should it arrive. Just politely refuse, explain to the courier and tell them to send it back to the supplier if you're that worried about it.

All the IANAL caveats apply here.

Smells a bit like someone ordered them and paid using stolen payment card details.

Then they have chosen a random delivery address with known recipient name to send the order to.

I recall a report a few years ago that this was a thing in the US, where people would receive an order, addressed to them by name at their address, for something they did not order.

Not good.

Brushing scam I think it's called.

This sounds a lot to me like the pizza delivery harassment, just on a bigger scale. Have you seriously pissed someone off?

Have seen instances of data breaches resulting in purchases being ticked up on accounts, then some mugs (not your average horti-fn-culturalists) turning up to collect the gear.  Is there an email address of someone else mentioned in the invoice at all?  Look it up on HIBP

i pissed the CSR at dell, it started off by me asking them to replace my laptop battery under the 5 year extended warranty. they sent me and invoice for a new battery. I said i don't want to buy new battery and not to go ahead with the invoice.

then they started sending my invoices for all sorts of things and i just blocked them.

now instead of sending me invoices they are actually sending me stuff!

Brushing is about boosting ratings on websites, ( the brushers usually have some relationship with the sellers)

I would lean hard on the courier company to NOT deliver them, tell them you will refuse to sign for them and you did not order them...

This will be the source, If their name is on the shipment, they (or Dell) would've mistakenly put your address on the shipment.
Chances are it is a legitimate order which that company has provided a Purchase order for (Dell will not release equipment without at least a Purchase Order)
