Hey,

Just wondering if you guys have any idea on central heating and the costs.

So basics, it is a 6 bedroom house, with one kitchen lounge and bathroom, mainly over one story, but one bedroom downstairs. Are large bedrooms as it is 1920's house. As far as I can tell the insulation is average, however can't do to much about that as we rent.

We ran the central heating last month and got the bill today, and to run it (gas powered) cost us about $150. Which I think would be about $1 - $1.10 an hour. Does this sound about right? Were running it for about 4 hours on the nights we used it. Bill said we used about 151m3 of gas (which seems like a great deal)

We mainly just use gas for heating (do have gas stove but from what I can tell that uses very little), no hot water.

So the question is, does it seem like the gas heating is running overboared and sucking the gas, or seems about right?

Thanks for the help,

Andrew
