Looking at the map tho I'm quietly wondering when they will consider building an expressway from the end of the Waikato one (when its finished it will start just before cambridge heading north) to connect with this new one.

oh yeah, about damn time, that's straight up the next road from my place on the Main Road in Tawa, woohoo, only problem is...it's going north :( wish they'd put in an onramp/offramp up in Linden, would make it much faster to travel in the mornings

I have moved across the ditch. Now residing in Melbourne as a VOIP/Video Technical Trainer/Engineer.

about time IMO.

the sooner there are bypasses for Waikanae and Otaki the better IMO.

yes its embarressing how long this took, got Wellington CC to thank for that :-( the abysmal work transit did on the coastal route ruined my neighboyurhood in Mana at no real improvement in capacity. Trucks always travelling along Greys Road which is no where near able to cope with heavy traffic. Will be thankfull to see the traffic move onto a proper highway so we can get about repairing our coastal comunities.
