I sold an old pc case on trademe and shipped it from Auckland to Wellington. Id packed polystyrene pieces and thick folded carboard into the box so the case wasn't touching the inside of the box, marked it fragile and which way was up.
When the buyer received it he said it has been damaged (def wasn't before) and that two of the prongs which hold the front of the case on have been snapped and now the front kinda swings off rendering the case pretty much unusable
He said there is a dent in the box that corresponds to a dent on the case so they've obviously thrown or dropped it a decent distance.
Is there anything I can do? I have a tracking number and receipt and the buyer says he can take photos or couriers can come and look at it if they want. It's not an expensive case but neither of us want to ship it around anymore.
Thoughts?
