Hello folks!

I have an Android-based Motorola Milestone to giveaway. It's currently running Android 2.1, with the latest updates applied.

The Motorola Milestone is a 3G 850/2100 MHz handset, perfect for Telecom XT. I am giving it away on the understanding you know it's a Telecom XT handset. This means please do not post "will it work on... " here because the entry will be removed.

The competition runs from now until the 19th November 12pm, when I will lock this thread and draw a winner. You have two ways to enter:

1.You can reply once to this thread with some more information about what you have now. Make it entertaining. Just a "Me too!" is not enough. A photo entry will add a bonus point!

2.Use the Retweet button to send a tweet about this competition. You can enter once a day only and each tweet until the closing of the competition is an extra chance to win. Only tweets sent from the Retweet button are valid entries.

Somethings you must know: users who have been previously banned are not entitled to enter this competition. No purchase is necessary and it's only valid for New Zealand residents and will only be delivered to New Zealand addresses. This Motorola Milestone was my review unit. Retweet button entries are only valid if you have a Geekzone account created before the end of this competition.

I've got a Nokia E51, which has had a hard life.  The screen has been cracked, dropped in water and now replaced.  The battery has been replaced cos the life got so bad I could barely use it.

Must be time for a new phone!!

I have a iPhone 4 on XT for better signal. But I use that original voda micro sim on my novatel MiFi, it fits, but it experiences some data stalls!! Lol.
I occasionally use my iPad to play some games. And I love my MacBook more than my windows xp!!
It might be time for me to switch to android now. Now or next year. I keep a eye on android everyday now. Because android robot is getting bigger and bigger!

I already have a Desire Z, among other things.

Will it work on................................oops sorry

I have a new VF845 running on Android and, coming off a lifetime of Nokia use, am loving Android.

Up until now I'd always scoffed at people geeking about with their phones as I always said a phone was for talking on but Android makes you want to play.

I've even dabbled with custom ROMs and overclocked it so think I am ready to wrestle with the Milestone.

I have to confess to installing a light sabre and Star Wars sounds last night so am officially a nerd.

I currently own an antiquated Motorola Razr V3x, which as you can see from the photo has been scuffed from many years of use. My daughter has recently upgraded her phone, so I'm trying out her old Sony Ericsson V640i to see if it is a worthy upgrade. Even though this is a much newer phone, the upgrade is not a dead cert for two reasons

1) The phone is buggy as hell, and will reboot by itself, and often will not charge properly. It also gets itself into a state where it can't easily be turned back on, with patience and trying again later being the only known cure
2) The keys are pretty small, which may turn out to be a deal breaker as TXTing is a primary means of communication between me and my wife

As it stands, I have the crappiest phone in the house (no matter what one I settle on), with both my daughter (Samsung GT-B3410) and wife (iPhone 4) having superior handsets. As the alpha geek in this family, I think this is a disgraceful position to be in. But due to the strong NZ dollar (I get paid in USD), this is not an injustice I'll be able to right any time soon.

Note: You may have noticed from the photos that both handsets are branded to another Telco, and that is my current provider. But I have been looking to move away from them for some time (just waiting to use up the last of my prepay credit), so please don't consider that to be a minus against me.

Have been drooling over those Android phones.... sigh.

I currently have a Nokia 3120 Classic which is OK but starting to show the occasional sign that is may give up the ghost soon, and the carry case is split open so it just sits on the phone now rather than being securely wrapped around it.

Had a nice Samsung with a good camera but had to hand it back when I left that job. Now got an old Nokia hand me down which has seen better days, a nice new toy would suit me just fine!

I currently have an e71 - which I love. But, it can't ever answer the question that keeps me awake at night staring at the ceiling...

I have an HTC Touch2.
It runs Windows Mobile 6.5.
It is slow and painful. It is extemely close to being thrown from great heights to it's death. Would not trade again. Thank goodness I didn't pay for this rubbsih. It'd be nice to win a Milestone.
