If you are in Wellington and want to help update http://eq.org.nz/ email eqnzfeb@gmail.com

I believe it will involve monitoring the SMS queue, updating the site, etc from a central Wellington office.

Yep you're volunteering to help monitor the SMS queues and turning the sms messages into information for the Google Crisis web site.

For those of you on the ground in Christchurch you can TXT 5627 for free (from any network) with Earthquake information on what services are up, down, location information etc.

I could possibly help. What does it involve? Bering in mind that I work full time (finish at 4:30)

You monitor the SMS queues and filter out rubbish vs. facts. You update facts onto the site. There is some minor training and then you get given a username/password. You can do this from home.

If you're interested filck me an email amscraig@gmail.com and I'll give you further details. Training is on Willis Street.

I will gladly do this from home in Dunedin if you can provide training over the internet?
