Check out this sella auction, I used the $700 buy now just for a laugh.

Sella iPad Auction

I have requested pick up details, I await the seller's excuse.

Seriously though don't Sella have some sought of protection in place to stop this kind of thing happening???

A new user signs up and immediately lists high price electronics for bargain prices, even offering  "buy two cameras get one free", nothing suspicious about that.

Maybe I should string them along a bit when they make contact?

...and check the serial number with the Police when you get it

At that price, its almost called receiving :-)

I never really expected to receive an ipad, this is obviously a scam.

I alerted sella anyway and the trader has been banned.

Still no contact from them either, obviously the pick-up wasn't going to work for them for obvious reasons.

Yeah, its an odd one - why specify you can pick up if its a scam? Does sella only allow that method for new sellers?

Yeah it seems strange but maybe you are right. Either that or the scammer was new to the site and didn't realise you could delete that option.
