Had to laugh at this one. Just started using Chrome last week so my IQ just shot up 30 points!

A recent study links intelligence test results with browser usage - and the results don't look good for users of Microsoft's Internet Explorer, especially its older versions.

The study, titled Intelligence Quotient (IQ) and Browser Usage by Canadian company AptiQuant, compiled IQ test scores of 101,326 individuals older than 16 and divided them into groups according to the browser they use.

The results are fascinating. Users of Internet Explorer 6 have an average IQ score barely more than 80; Firefox and Chrome users fare much better, with average IQ scores of about 110, while Opera and Camino users have an average IQ score more than 120.

Thats rubbish man. 70 percent of them probly use IE. I use IE9, love it. Im not saying im smart but i dont think im dumb..

Don't use IE of any flavor these days. Opera, Chrome and FF Aurora. IE went out for me years ago..

It's also interesting to note that average IQ scores of IE6 users were significantly higher in 2006, and that the IQ scores get better with newer versions of IE.

So I guess if you are on IE9 then you are safe.

So I guess if you are on IE9 then you are safe.

Haha awesome. Nah i really like IE9. Just the look of it. I don't know if it performs better or what not. I just like the fact there is no toolbars and crap like that. I don't need em. Looks wicked!

IE users shouldn't worry as they can easily upgrade their IQ by adding the chrome frame plug-in. Average IQ score by browser

They probably mean because IE users tend to install every damn toolbar available so it makes them look like idiots. How many tool bars do people need. Man I hate that yahoo toolbar. I don't like Chrome browser either, FF & Opera for me.

I only use IE if a site is incompatible in chrome.

eg, rabobank NZ do not support internet banking via chrome (why????)
