Dictionary says

1.

A passionate fan of various elements of geek culture (e.g. sci-fi, comics, Star Wars, video games, anime, hobbits, Magic: the Gathering, etc.), but who lets his passion override social graces.

2.

1. A person who is completely loyal to a game or company reguardless of if they suck or not.
2. A pathetic insult often used by fanboys themselves to try and put down people who don't like whatever it is they like.

3.

Someone far beyond a simple fan.

An arrogant person who goes into an outburst every time something he likes is questioned. Fanboys usually acuse others of being fanboys.

I think (1) is representative, while (2)(2) is just a way for fanboys to deflect the insult by saying those using it are fanboys themselves.

Aren't you sposed to say their CEO sux???  Well, be nice to have a Ducati, my bike is for commuting and a bit of fun. If I can stop it tipping over, now that would be a plus, or  get my own private supply of clutch levers.

Anyone that owns a Apple Product.
Then proceeds to tell others that it's the BEST.

That's true!
Except, if you go too far, you are a Fanboy.
Owning a product and just liking it is not being a Fanboy, owning a product and then telling others to buy it since it's the best is just blegh.

Nope. Having a product and telling others it's the best and they should try or buy it is not fanboy.

Fanboy is when you tell others it's the best, they should try it, then look down at others because they say "no, thanks".

It's the lack of social skills or over hipsterism.
