I am looking for some advice on my current situation. I'm in my final year of a CompSci degree and have been applying for some summer internships at various companies (summer internships rather than grad programmes as I plan to return to uni next year for postgrad study).
Most of the companies I've applied to are still either taking applicants or doing first stage interviews. The problem is this - one of my lesser preferred companies I've applied for has already interviewed me and just offered me a job. They're wanting to fly me up to meet the team and are drawing up a contract in the next few days. What is the etiquitte in a situation like this?
Ideally I'd like to stall them for a couple of weeks so I can see what my chances are with the other companies, but obviously I don't want to turn down the offer and then end up with no job. Any ideas on how to approach a situation like this?
Cheers!
