Hi, im looking at buying a laptop from trademe and are wanting a particular model from a seller which he doesn't have listed on trademe. So how can i contact him about this. Trademe trys to prevent contact between sellers and buyers, so therefore im assuming they pick up on obvious contact stuff through the questions. So how do i give my contact derails to the seller through a question without it being detected?

Thanks

Either cut back on whatever drugs you are taking or quadruple the dosage

if he doesn't have it listed, then he probably does not have it. usually you should only bid for item that is shown and displayed. it is very BUYER's AWARE.

I asked him about it in the questions and he does have access to what i'm after, and he has sold the model i'm wanting before, seller is a regular with 100% feedback too so seems sweet.

So if I was to put something like xxxxx at hotty dot com (with xxx being my name) to replace xxxx@hotmail.com would this be sufficient to get around trademe systems.

It would probably work but unless you fancy having your Trademe account suspended, I would suggest that you read their terms and conditions before going down this path. I undersand that the contact restrictions are frustrating in your case since you have a legitimate reason for wanting to contact the seller, but the rules exist for a reason and trying to dodge them is probably not a good idea.

I don't think this topic needs more discussion. I am locking this thread.
